Svetlana Radionova, Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Environmental Management, and Alba Azucena Torres Mejia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nicaragua to Russia, discussed cooperation within the framework of the international Children's and Youth award of Rosprirodnadzor "Ecology is everyone's business".

"I had a meeting with the Ambassador of Nicaragua. We discussed cooperation on the international children's prize "Ecology is everyone's business". We will be waiting for the work of the guys from Nicaragua. Children and teenagers will be able to tell how nature is taken care of in their country and what needs to be done to improve the state of the environment," Svetlana Radionova said.

During the meeting with the ambassador, the head of Rosprirodnadzor noted that in the second season, more than a thousand foreign works from children from 32 countries of the world were received for the Ecology – Everyone's Business award, which is three times more than in 2021.

The participants of the award were children and teenagers aged 6 to 17 years, who through the website www.экологияделокаждого .The Russian Federation submitted applications with creative works in nine nominations: "Eco-family", "Eco-school", "Ecomir", "Ecoproject", "Ecobloger", "Ecorisunok", "Ecofocus", "Ecomultfilm", "ESG-generation".

The project was supported and headed by the jury of the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation on Agriculture, Ecology and real estate turnover Victoria Abramchenko.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nicaragua Alba Azucena Torres Mejia stressed that the work carried out by Rosprirodnadzor is very important.

"You are engaged in environmental education and instilling the right habits in the new generation. It is very necessary and interesting. I think future generations will continue the work that you have started, and young people will learn to protect our planet. And we are glad that not only children, but also families take part in the award, there is a succession of generations. Children from Nicaragua will be happy to take part in your initiative and learn more about Russia," the Ambassador said.
