"Green Spring" on the shore of the Gulf of Finland

The ecological clean-up "Green Spring" was held on the shore of the Gulf of Finland.

About 500 people took part in the action, including state inspectors of the North-Western Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor, as well as representatives of public organizations and higher educational institutions.

The subbotnik is held annually on the initiative of the V.I. Vernadsky Non-governmental Environmental Foundation. Residents of the northern capital have landscaped the public space near the "Flagpole", cleared the territories, planted trees – pine, spruce, rowan, as well as lilac and hydrangea bushes.

Employees of the environmental protection service reminded everyone who came to the subbotnik that St. Petersburg has become an active participant in the international prize "Ecology is everyone's business" and invited everyone to apply for the competition.

Last season, the number of works from Petersburgers increased seven times! And in the new third season, this record can be broken. Moreover, now there are nominations in which everyone can participate – both children and adults, regardless of age.
