On December 20, Deputy Head of the North Caucasus Interregional Department Vadim Bazaev solemnly presented a special prize of the II International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is Everyone's business" to Ruslan Garozashvili from Vladikavkaz.

To participate in the Award, Ruslan sent a video in which he talked about how he takes care of wild animals that are kept in the zoo. "As a result of human activity, many species of the animal world have appeared on the verge of extinction, the number of which is now being restored with great difficulty and expense. It's a pity that we only know how to appreciate what we lose," the boy remarked.

The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania (hereinafter – the Ministry of Natural Resources) Robert Khamikoev, Head of the Department of Supervision in the field of hunting, Protected Areas and Licensing activities of the Ministry of Natural Resources – Omar Gazzaev and Head of the Vladikavkaz Children's Railway – Natalia Lozova.

After the award ceremony, a tea party and informal communication with parents and teachers were organized for the winner of the II International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business".

Children and teenagers from the Republic of North Ossetia -Alania sent 42 works to participate in the second season of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business". The total number of works received from Russia and other countries in 2022 amounted to more than 45 thousand.
