In Yakutia, the winners of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business" were awarded
On December 22, 2022, the Department of Rosprirodnadzor in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) awarded the participants of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business".
Starting from 2021, the Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Management has been holding the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is Everyone's Business". The award was established by Rosprirodnadzor to increase the environmental awareness of young people and to involve children and adolescents in the environmental agenda.
According to the head of Rosprirodnadzor, the initiator of the International Children's and Youth Award Svetlana Radionova, the second season of the Award showed great dynamics, strong competition and high quality of work.
Svetlana Gennadievna stressed that "The nominations "Ecoproject" and "ESG-generation" opened the real stars of the project, and future ecologists and scientists.
She noted that creative nominations were also in great demand among the guys. The children came up with rap, sang songs, composed their own poems and created dances, and many of the works were done at a high level.
Rustam Romanenkov, Deputy Director General of the Center for Arctic Initiatives, believes that the new generation is not ready to stand aside and be observers. "These are active, thinking children who are ready to offer ideas and work through them to solve specific environmental problems. Each of the participants of the award shows that he cares and that he really wants to change the world for the better," Rustam Romanenkov stressed.
The Award of the second season received 45.5 thousand works from 89 regions of the Russian Federation and 33 countries of the near and far abroad.
The chairman of the jury of the award "Ecology is everyone's business" is Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Victoria Abramchenko. The judging panel includes the head of Rosprirodnadzor Svetlana Radionova, TV presenter and scientist Nikolai Drozdov, the famous Russian traveler Fyodor Konyukhov, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Nikas Safronov, and many other stars and famous people of Russia.
This year, children and teenagers from Yakutia sent 230 works to participate.
The jury of the Ecology – Everyone's Business award announced the results of this year.
Polina Lavrinenko, a student of the secondary educational school of the city of Yakutsk No. 24, became one of the winners of the competition. Polina sent two works to participate in the second season of the Award. For her photo work called "Plastic Flower" Polina was among the winners.
Students of the secondary educational school of the city of Yakutsk No. 5 also took part in the competition. Laptev Lev presented his work entitled "My eco-trips. Meeting in the Amur region", Yaroslav Lapteva presented her work "Underwater Odyssey. Take care of marine life."
The head of the Department of Rosprirodnadzor in Yakutia, Andrey Zholudev, presented valuable prizes to the participants of the competition and representatives of the schools where the children study. He also expressed gratitude to schools, students, parents for their participation, and congratulated them on worthy victories in various nominations.
Representatives of the Ministry of Ecology, Nature Management and Forestry of the Republic came to greet and congratulate the winners and prize-winners. They presented the schools with the Red Book of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
