The Government of the Novgorod Region awarded prizes to the winners of the Second International Children's and Youth Prize "Ecology is everyone's business"
On December 19, the Government of the Novgorod Region held a solemn awarding ceremony for the winners of the Second International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business" from the Novgorod region.
The award ceremony was held by Mikhail Kozminykh, Head of the North-Western Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor, and Ilya Malekno, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Novgorod Region.
Among the winners are 12 children aged 6 to 17 years, 2 schools and one kindergarten.
Children and teenagers from the Novgorod region sent 217 works to participate in the second season of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business". The total number of works in 2022 received from Russia and other countries of the world amounted to more than 45 thousand.
The guys talked about their attitude to nature, shared their observations and offered non-standard solutions. For example, Vasily Ilyin (16 years old) from proposed a project to improve the courtyard of the school. The author conducted a survey among students and teachers, developed a project and coordinated it with the director, and also grew plants for the future yard. The young man developed a 3D model of the Carboniferous forest
Fifteen-year-old Alexander Latin together with co-author Maria Kirbai in the cartoon "Superhero. The Guardian of the Universe" in an accessible form told about the power supply of cities.
As the head of the Department Mikhail Kozminykh notes, it is important for children to take a careful attitude to nature. We are very interested in this process and are ready to cooperate in the implementation of their projects, to provide advice and assistance.
The International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is Everyone's business" was established by the Rosprirodnadzor service in March 2021 for children and adolescents aged 6 to 17 years in nine nominations. Two teams – "Eco-family" and "Eco-school". And seven individual ones - "Ecomir", "Ecoproject", "Ecobloger", "Ecorisunok", "Ecofocus", "Ecomultfilm", "ESG-generation".
