On December 19, the winners of the Second International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is Everyone's Business" from the Kaliningrad Region were solemnly awarded in Sosnovka village of the Zelenograd District of the Kaliningrad Region.

The ceremony was attended by Oleg Kidakov, Acting Deputy Head of the North-West Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor, and Anatoly Kalina, Director of the Curonian Spit National Park.

The pupils of the GBU of the NGO "Boarding School of Sosnovka village" of the city of Zelenogradsk told about getting acquainted with nature through excursions and environmental tasks, for example, how they visited a nursery for growing cedars, and then tried to plant trees themselves and gave them names. So, the children had cedars Baby, Grisha, Predator. Also, children with teachers carried out work at the school site, subbotniks and even visited the garbage museum. As a result, the collective work of students of grades 3-4 was awarded with a diploma of the special prize.

It is worth noting that the boarding school from the village of Sosnovka has been winning the award for several years. Last year, the guys received a special prize for cleaning the Baltic Sea coast from garbage and went to the south.

In 2022, among the winners is a young resident of Svetlogorsk Maxim Not Bad, who presented a drawing with the telling name "The Heat of the Earth" for participation in the Rosprirodnadzor Award. The young man is concerned about the issues of emissions into the atmosphere, and he expressed his attitude to the problem in the drawing.

In total, children and teenagers from the Kaliningrad region sent 86 works to participate in the second season of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business". The total number of works in 2022 received from Russia and other countries of the world amounted to more than 45 thousand.

The International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business" was established by Rosprirodnadzor in March 2021 to popularize the topic of ecology and environmental conservation. This year, children from 6 to 17 years old who could apply on the website www.экологияделокаждого .Russia in nine nominations: "Eco-family", "Eco-school", "Ecomir", "Ecoproject", "Ecobloger", "Ecorisunok", "Ecofocus", "Ecomultfilm", "ESG-generation".
