Svetlana Radionova noted Norilsk women for winning the prize "Ecology is everyone's business"
Two high school girls from Norilsk received prizes in the categories "Ecofocus" and "Young eco-journalist". The participants were congratulated on their victory at the federal and municipal levels.
Fifteen-year-olds Kamilla Dudina and Ulyana Uglova, their parents and teachers were greeted by the head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Environmental Management Svetlana Radionova via video link:
«Norilsk really needs such people. Camilla, Ulyana, you must now show an example to the whole country. Tell your friends and families about what you are doing. Thanks to the parents who raised decent children, thanks to the teachers. And thanks to the Head of the city for congratulating the girls on their victory. It is very important that children are noticed exactly where they live. For us, ecology is a place beyond the threshold of the house where we live."
The head of Norilsk Dmitry Karasev, in turn, thanked the chief State Environmental Inspector of Russia for the creation of the children's and youth award, which appeared in our country in March this year and has already collected over nine and a half thousand applications from 27 countries of the world:
«Our city and Norilsk Nickel, as a socially responsible company, are currently conducting a joint comprehensive work of an environmental orientation. Thus, within the framework of the federal project "Clean Air", a Sulfur program is being implemented in Norilsk. Thanks to it, in the future, emissions into the atmosphere will be reduced by 99 percent. I am glad that young people support the city and worry about the future of their native territory. This will help to change the ecological situation of Norilsk for the better. I am glad that two Norilsk women were able to overcome the barrier of a huge number of applicants at once and take prizes in the international project," Dmitry Karasev said.
He congratulated Kamilla Dudina, a member of the city children and youth association "Spectrum", which works on the basis of the "Social and Educational Center", teacher Ekaterina Kovalskaya and the mother of the participant Natalia Goryaeva:
«This is your common merit: the teacher, first of all, the mother who raised such a wonderful daughter and, of course, Camilla herself. It is not easy to win in such a large-scale project. This requires certain skills, abilities and aspirations, and you have certainly shown them. I wish you further victories and achievements. Thank you for glorifying our city at national and international venues."
Camilla told about how she came to victory, what other projects she implemented and revealed her plans for the future.
Dmitry Karasev got acquainted with the achievements of the Spectrum participant, introduced the guest to the course of environmental events in the city, and also advised the girl to develop knowledge in this topic. So that in a few years, if you want to work for the benefit of Norilsk, you can become part of the Environmental Management team of the City Administration.
The winner of a special prize in the nomination "Young eco-journalist" Ulyana Uglova is engaged in the House of Children's Creativity. For her skill, she received a ticket to the All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok", where she is currently resting. Upon Ulyana's return to Norilsk, she will also meet with the Head of the city.
