The head of the SPMU of Rosprirodnadzor planted trees with the winner of the first season of the Ecology – Everyone's Business award
The head of the North-West Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor Mikhail Kozminykh planted Ussuri pears and red oak at school No. 474 in the village of Pargolovo, Vyborg district of St. Petersburg, together with the winner of the first season of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business" Vera Baukina.
A student of secondary school 474 of the Vyborg district in 2021 was awarded the Grand Prix Prize. Vera created the "Ecological lessons of the hedgehog Syroezhkin" and teaches first-graders environmental etiquette. In 2021, the girl became the leader in the number of submitted works for the competition – more than fifty in almost all categories of the competition. Vera received not only the Grand Prix, but also took third place in the nomination "Ecovolonter". Vera said that she also intends to participate in the third season of the award, which started on March 1, 2023.
In the second season, students of 474 schools under the guidance of mentor Svetlana Ershova also took an active part in the award and were awarded with gifts, including a certificate for seedlings.
The planting of trees took place in May. As part of the campaign, the head of the Department, Mikhail Kozminykh, told the children how to plant trees correctly, prepare the soil, and take care of trees. Among the participants of the event were students of grades 1, 4.7 and 8. All of them are in the "Very kind Children" squad. The guys participate in environmental actions, clean the area of garbage, collect waste paper. Members of the squad develop environmental projects, conduct thematic lessons and clubs for peers and younger comrades.
We emphasize that children and teenagers from 39 countries took part in the two years of the award, 55 thousand applications were received. St. Petersburg schoolchildren are among the winners of the 2021 and 2022 awards. If 142 applications were received from the region in 2021, then in 2022 the number of applications increased to 740.
