Awarding of the winners of the International Children's and Youth Prize "Ecology is everyone's business" in the Udmurt Republic

On December 15, 2021, a solemn awarding ceremony was held in Izhevsk for the winners of the International Children's and Youth Prize "Ecology is Everyone's Business", established by the Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Management. Two residents of the Udmurt Republic won in the nominations "Young eco-journalist" (Anton Ponomarev, 15 years old) and "My family is my eco-team" (Roman Dubtsov, 9 years old). The winners were congratulated and presented with valuable and memorable gifts by the Acting head of the West Ural Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor, Georgy Chernov.

The main mission of the project is to popularize the topic of ecology and respect for nature, increase the level of ecological culture of children and youth. In six months, 9,5 thousand applications were received, 6000 works were accepted. The works were evaluated in 12 nominations: "Let's save the planet together", "My eco-family is my team", "Young eco-blogger", "Ecotrends", "Eco-school", "Ecoproject", "Ecorisunok", "Ecofocus", "Ecomultfilm", "Ecovolonter", "Young eco-journalist", "Ecology in the world".

According to the results of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business", children and teenagers from 27 regions of the Russian Federation became the winners of prizes. Among the 27 participating countries, the winners who took prizes represent Peru, Belarus, Panama, Uzbekistan, Mexico, Colombia, Luhansk and Donetsk territories. Special jury prizes were awarded to children and teenagers from 50 regions of the Russian Federation and from 21 countries of the world. In total, about 200 finalists were presented for awards.
