The All-Russian action "Toy for a veteran" starts on Victory Day
On the eve of the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory, the head of Rosprirodnadzor, Svetlana Radionova, announced the launch of the traditional All-Russian action "Toy for a Veteran", held within the framework of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business". To participate in the campaign, you need to sew a teddy bear Umku with your own hands, the symbol of the Rosprirodnadzor award. And together with warm words of support, send the parcel to the ecomail of the Ecology is Everyone's Business award in Moscow by April 1, 2026. The collected crafts will be delivered to veterans of the Great Patriotic War living in different parts of the country.
"Victory Day is a sacred date for our country. This is a moment of national remembrance and gratitude. We want everyone, from child to adult, to have the opportunity to personally say "thank you" to veterans. A handmade toy and a few sincere lines are the warmth of Victory, felt through the years. This is a sign of attention that will warm the hearts of people who defended our free future. Explain to the children why this action is important, tell them about the heroes in your family, and we will help deliver your gifts to veterans across the country. This way we will show that new generations remember and cherish the feat of the people," Svetlana Radionova said.
According to Svetlana Radionova, caring for veterans is not a gesture on the eve of a memorable date, but a duty and part of a common civic responsibility. The years are taking us further and further away from the events of the Great Patriotic War, but the human memory of them should not fade. The head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Management emphasized that the action "Toy to a Veteran" is designed to convey to the veterans a low bow from those for whom they went through the millstones of war, to say thank you for their lives and peaceful skies, and to share their warmth on the eve of Victory Day. Anyone can join. Along with the Umka soft toy, you need to put a letter or postcard in the parcel, tell us about yourself and why you wanted to take part in the promotion. The toy can be sent to the eco-mail of the Award at the address: 119017, Moscow, Bolshaya Ordynka Street, 29, building 1. In the "To whom" column, specify "Ecology is everyone's business."
